More Summer Camp Lunches!

This week, I prepped once again on a Sunday for my kids’ three days of camp.

So far, they seem to be enjoying what I pack and few leftovers are making it home. I asked the kids in advance what they wanted to see in their lunches this week, so some of these items were inspired by those requests.

Here’s what I packed:

  • Mandarin oranges
  • Blueberries
  • Baby carrots
  • Bell peppers
  • Cheese sticks
  • Granola bars
  • Pretzels
  • Hot dogs
  • Simple pasta salad
  • Nutella cups with breadsticks
  • Fruit cups
  • Seaweed
  • Apples
  • Teddy grahams with peanuts

I was told my youngest doesn’t like the teddy graham/peanut combo, but I had three snack baggies left from my last prep, so I sent them anyway.

The nutella cups were a specific request by my middle son; other kids at camp had them, and I wanted to indulge him on this one occasion. Typically I would avoid such a sugary treat or at the very least, recreate it myself to save money. But it’s summer and we can allow the occasional indulgence.

We’ll see how the hot dogs go over. The kids swear there is a microwave at camp that they are allowed to use, but I have my doubts.

I am still loving these Melli brand snackle boxes too. So cute and functional too!
